The history of the SNA began on January 14, 1942, when a group of aeronauts founded a professional association. Twelve days later, the first board was elected and sworn in. The Professional Association of Aeronauts of the Federal District was founded. In 1947, the Union extended its base to the entire national territory and changed its name to the National Aeronauts Union.
